Students from the Sweatfree Coalition have said, “Enough is enough.” They are sitting-in at President Coleman’s Office and won’t leave until justice is served. For eight years, the University has had a Code of Conduct for licensees, but our apparel is still manufactured in sweatshops. …
…Sweatfree…demands that President Coleman take action today and join over 30 other schools by adopting the Designated Supplier Program (DSP), the only solution on the table that addresses the root of the problem. …

[...]         A source tells me that the dedicated dozen from Sweatfree Coalition who sat in at Mary Sue Coleman’s office are now due to be arraigned on May 9 before Judge Michael J. Gatti. Apparently “Mercy Sue” isn’t going to be Mary Sue’s nickname any time soon. Surprise, surprise.         Trespassing and unlawful remaining on the property of a higher education institution, or words to similar effect, seem to be the two charges. (Ironically, there is no victim listed on the forms, since it’s a victimless crime, really…) [...]
